Abby at FISAF World Championships 2014

Hello there fellow sport aerobics enthusiasts & supporters! Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I’m Abby and I’ve been involved in aerobics for over a decade. I’m an athlete, coach and judge. I’m also a mum, high school teacher and Personal Training student! And I bring all this knowledge together to share with you tips & tricks to train and compete at your best.

I’m totally human! In fact, I basically don’t exercise unless I have a huge goal (i.e. a competition) and quite a bit of accountability (i.e. this website & my associated social media pages!).

What is sport aerobics? I describe it as a hybrid of gymnastics and dance. But it is its own unique sport. Essentially, a sport aerobics athlete needs to be super fit, flexible and strong. And that’s why I love it. Most sports sacrifice one of these areas to improve another (e.g. sacrificing flexibility to be strong, or sacrificing strength to be fit) but aerobics asks you to be well-rounded which I think is great for a lifelong lifestyle.

So whilst the information I provide comes through a sport aerobics lens, it’s really for everyone. And I’d especially love to see mums training with their daughters (my two girls are only preschool age so they bounce around with me but aren’t ready to ‘train’ yet).

So please say hi, introduce yourself and let me know what you’d like to see on this page – you’re my inspiration and motivators! 🙂
